POLICE are hunting for a group of men who brutally assaulted a man in broad daylight at a Kincardine car wash yesterday.

The 35-year-old was attacked around 3pm at the Supa Car Wash and Valeting Centre in the Feregait area of Kincardine, and police are appealing for witnesses and members of the public who have any information regarding the serious assault.

Acting detective sergeant Graeme McLaren, who is in charge of the investigation, said, "This was a brutal attack on one man by several others, and he is lucky not to have been much more seriously injured. It is essential we catch those responsible as soon as possible, so I am appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or who has information on the incident, to contact Police Scotland on 101 or their local police station.

"Alternatively, the information can be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
