HEAVY RAIN and the possibility of flooding across Central, Tayside and Fife has prompted the Met Office to issue a yellow alert for the area.
Downpours are expected to get even heavier overnight and tomorrow morning, before easing off later into the day.
The yellow alert follows an amber alert in north-west Scotland, with severe flooding expected in some parts of the country.
Although Fife is set to escape the worst of the weather, the Met Office are advising the public to be aware there may be disruption in some places across the region because of flooding.
Winds will still be reasonably strong, gusting around 20mph, but these are expected to ease off into tomorrow afternoon, while temperatures will remain around 10C.
