AROUND 30 new jobs are set to be created in Dunfermline due to the success of Nationwide’s video link mortgage service.

The building society is looking for approximately 15 mortgage consultants and 15 personal banking managers to be based in Caledonia House on Carnegie Avenue, with further jobs for more Dunfermline people being brought over the next 12 months.

The jobs boost has come about because of the success of the Nationwide NOW service, which allows mortgage consultants to hold meetings with customers in branches hundreds of miles away through a high definition video link.

Thomas Docherty, MP for Dunfermline and West Fife, said, “There is a strong case for investing in Dunfermline and Nationwide’s decision to increase their commitment to our communities is a welcome endorsement of West Fife’s offer to business.

“I have met with Nationwide on a number of occasions over the past year and it’s clear they understand the advantages our area has to offer employers. I will continue to push these advantages to other businesses.” To find out more about the posts and other opportunities in Nationwide visit www.nationwide-jobs.co.uk
