FIREFIGHTERS rushed to Blairhall this morning (Wednesday) to tackle a blaze that broke out in a ground floor flat.
Emergency services were called out at 9.26am to the property on Wilson Street, where a fire was blazing in the ground-floor flat close to the community centre.
All the occupants had managed to escape the premises by the time fire crews arrived at the scene but an ambulance was called so that paramedics could check over one male occupant as a precaution.
Luckily, the man did not require any treatment or hospitalisation.
Two engines and an officer from Dunfermline fire station were in attendance as smoke continued to billow out of the ground-floor window this morning.
At noon, firefighters were still at the scene conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
