WOULD-BE thieves forced open patio doors to break into a Dalgety Bay home last week.
Now police are warning West Fifers to secure their patio doors if they have them.
Sergeant Brian Henderson, of Dunfermline Police Station told the Press yesterday (Monday) that forcing patio doors was a common way of gaining entry to a property and is asking all homeowners to make sure that these doors are secure.
The advice comes after the property in Lade Braes was broken into last Wednesday between 8am and 5pm.
