Essential maintenance on the surface of the M9 Junction 3 (southbound) will require a full closure of the on-slip road over the weekend, with a clearly signed diversion route in place.
Work will take place from 8pm Friday 24th April and will be completed by 6am on Monday 27th April.
The diversion will direct traffic via the A904 eastwards to South Queensferry, to the Echline Roundabout. From here traffic can rejoin the trunk road network.
A detailed consultation process has been undertaken with Falkirk Council, City of Edinburgh Council, Forth Road Bridge Consortium and Police Scotland. Similarly, local businesses have also been made aware of the proposed works.
This essential maintenance represents an investment of £160,000 by Transport Scotland to ensure the 35,000 or so motorists using this stretch of the M9 each day experience greater journey time reliability and comfort.
