Pupils were also progressing “very well” in a wide range of areas, including British Sign Language, family science, football, athletics, and Bikeability.

It noted that staff “contribute positively to the ethos of the school and are ambitious for the children”, and “have created classroom environments that stimulate and support effective learning”.

Programmes for literacy, numeracy, art and design were “well designed” with children “progressing well”.

Special mention was given to the headteacher for her “significantly positive impact” and “her collaborative leadership has resulted in the school having a clear and shared vision and values founded on high expectations for children”.

All staff said they found the leadership of the head and deputes to be “inspirational”.

The report added, “The forward-looking approaches the school has to its self-evaluation are a key strength and we are confident that the school will continue to build on its high-quality provision.”
