Latest acts announced for T in the Park

VILLAGERS and Kids In Glass Houses are the latest additions to the T in the Park line-up.

They will join headliners Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Foo Fighters on the bill of acts on the weekend of 8-10th July 2011.

Tickets for the Balado bash sold out on Friday as 85,000 fans snapped up the briefs in under an hour .

Festival director Geoff Ellis said, "We are delighted to have an exceptionally strong line-up but you can't be complacent. It's still as momentous for us to sell out now as it was the first time around and we're thrilled.

"It's great to know 85,000 music lovers think we've made the right choices and that they are as excited about the gates opening on 8th July as we are."

George Kyle, head of sponsorship at Tennents, said, "Everybody at Tennents is delighted at the news that tickets have sold out so incredibly fast.

" We never underestimate the passion of the fans and it's great to have them back in force for T in the Park 2011.

Others playing this year include Pulp, My Chemical Romance, Plan B, Tinie Tempah, Beady Eye, Manic Street Preachers, The View, Tom Jones. KT Tunstall, Blondie, Cast, Ocean Colour Scene, Eels, Eliza Doolittle and The Script.

They will be joined by Manchester post-punk popsters Everything Everything, The Vaccines, and Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye, Deadmau5 and Pendulum.
