Scottish Power are on site in Blairhall to fix the faulty cable that closed the village's primary school and nursery this morning.
There was a problem in the area around 4pm yesterday afternoon, affecting around 15 customers, that the firm thought had been resolved.
A spokeswoman told the Press: "We got their power back on but it looks like something else has happened through the night.
"It's a stretch of cable in the Woodlands Terrace area and we're working to get customers back on as soon as possible.
"We're also getting a generator up to the school about 10am to try and get their power back as soon as we can.
"We apologise for the inconvenience."
