A KELTY man has admitted assaulting two people with a baseball bat.

Peter Powrie, 34, of Main Street, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on October 2 last year, at Main Street and Seafar Drive, both in Kelty, he assaulted his then partner by repeatedly pushing her.

He brandished a baseball bat, repeatedly struck her on the head with it, causing her to fall to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked her on the head and body, all to her injury.

Powrie also admitted that on the same day at Seafar Drive, he assaulted a man, jumped on to his back, kneed him on the body and repeatedly struck him on the head with a baseball bat.

Defence solicitor Gordon Martin said the parties involved have now reconciled.

The court heard Powrie was already on a community payback order. Sheriff Derek Reekie called for reports and sentencing was deferred until August 16.
