AN OAKLEY woman who pretended to be someone else in order to defraud the Department of Work and Pensions of £2,000 has been placed on a restriction of liberty order for four months.
Lisa Lessells, 31, of Sir George Bruce Road, will have to remain in her home at times specified by the court after claiming for money she wasn't entitled to.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, she admitted that on January 21, 2015, at her home address and elsewhere she did pretend to employees of the Department for Work Pensions Carer's Allowance Unit, that she was another person and that care was provided to her.
By doing so, she induced said the unit to make payments of Carer's Allowance into a bank account in her name and obtained £2,000 by fraud.
Lessells was also placed on a supervision order for 12 months.
