A MAN was taken to hospital on Christmas Day after his car left the road and ended up in a field near Kelty.
Emergency services were called to Thornton Wood at 1.40pm after the incident, which did not involve any other vehicle.
An eyewitness told the Press that two fire engines, an ambulance and four vehicles attended the accident, which took place on the B914.
The road was temporarily closed while recovery work was carried out and a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "We received a call at around 1.40pm to attend a one vehicle road traffic collision.
"Emergency services, including fire and ambulance, were on the scene and one male patient was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
"There were no serious injuries."
