Villages on West Fife's coast should expect flooding at high tide today (Wednesday).

Flood warnings have been put in place for Culross, Longannet and Kincardine between 3pm-3.30pm.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has warned that low lying households and businesses on Barbara Stocks Lane; West Green; Sandhaven; Low Causeway and Main Street Culross, and Longannet Power Station, are at risk.

Storm Eleanor didn't seem to batter our shores as expected yesterday but it did bring heavy rain to the area for most of the day, causing high sea levels.

A flood warning from SEPA said: "Between 15:00 and 15:30 on Wednesday, January 3, high tide level means flooding is possible from the sea. Flooding is expected along the coastal frontage at Culross, Longannet and Kincardine.

"Areas at risk include: low lying properties on Barbara Stocks Lane; West Green; Sandhaven; Low Causeway and Main Street Culross, and Longannet Power Station.

"Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.  Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188."

The flood warning is in place until further notice.
