A man has admitted neglecting a young child in unhygienic conditions in Kelty.
John Wright, 37, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on October 14, 2016 at his then home at Dullomuir Drive, Kelty, he wilfully neglected a child, aged eight, in a manner likely to cause him unnecessary suffering or injury to health.
He caused the house to be dirty and unhygienic with clothing and rubbish strewn over kitchen worktops, failed to provide adequate lighting and a sanitary bed and bedding.
He also failed to provide adequate toilet and washing facilities.
Sheriff Alison McKay called for reports and Wright, now of Broad Street in Cowdenbeath, will be sentenced on March 7.
