Kelty Primary School pupils have recorded a charity single for their brave friend "Wee Joe" who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Students spent this morning (Monday) being pop stars with the help of The Beat Box company, recording a song which will soon be available to buy for funds for Joe's family.

Since six-year-old Joe's parents found out that the Primary 2 pupil had a brain tumour on February 9, the local community has raised £5,260 already and last Tuesday the school held a 'Super Joe Day' which cashed in another £3,000.

The money will help Joe's family with expenses through weeks of treatment in Germany and some will also go to the Edinburgh Sick Kids charity.

Joe's family wish to keep their surname anonymous but you can catch with their journey via www.facebook.com/WeeJoe2018/.
