KELTY is to get super-fast fibre broadband as part of BT’s £2.5 billion investment.
Fibre broadband is already available to more than 61,000 homes and businesses across the Kingdom.
This number is to grow as more than 15,000 homes and local businesses are to benefit.
The fibre broadband allows for faster web searching and on multiple devices.
Tricia Marwick, MSP for Mid Fife and Glenrothes, described it as great news for villagers as well as residents in Cowdenbeath and Glenrothes, which will also receive the upgrade.
