THREE people were injured in a serious road accident on the A909 yesterday (Sunday).
A Ford Ka and a Ford Fiesta collided around 7.30pm on the road between Cowdenbeath and Burntisland.
A 73-year-old woman was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and she remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and Sergeant Derek Allan said, “Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and our enquiries are at a very early stage.
“I urge anyone who was driving on the A909 around 7.30pm on Sunday and saw something that could help with our investigation to get in touch straight away.” Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
