FLOWERS have been laid at a memorial garden in Townhill in memory of the 96 football fans who died in the Hillsborough disaster.
Members of the Billy Liddell memorial group marked the 25th anniversary of the tragedy on Tuesday.
Liddell, who was born in Townhill in 1922, spent his entire 23-year career with the Anfield club and scored over 200 goals.
