MONDAY'S hot weather kept fire crews busy as they rushed to put out three gorse fires across West Fife.
One fire engine from Dunfermline was called out at 4.50pm to a blaze near Forrester Park Golf Club in Cairneyhill.
The fire was at a 130m by 10m stretch of land and was put out by 7.30pm.
Firefighters were also called out twice in 15 minutes to Fairykirk Quarry, off the A921 between Inverkeithing and Rosyth.
The first call came in at 6.45pm followed by the second at 7pm. Two fire engines from Lochgelly attended.
The fires were put out by 7.40pm.
