SILVER Sands beach in Aberdour is to get a £5000 investment from Fife Council.
Fife Coast and Countryside Trust will put the cash towards additional staff, training and safety materials.
A beach patrol officer will now be on site during the day from April to October, to add to the two lifeguards in the summer months.
New signage, posters, information cards, flags and rescue equipment units will be included as part of the additional safety measures.
