Tory councillor Dave Dempsey will stand for the Conservative Party at next year’s general election.
Mr Dempsey has been selected to represent his party in the Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath constituency.
He said, “I’m delighted to be selected for a constituency that takes in Dalgety Bay and Aberdour, where I’ve been a councillor for the past seven years, much of the Cowdenbeath Holyrood constituency that I fought in the by-election last year and Kirkcaldy, where I was born, grew up and went to school.”
