WEST Fifers will get to find out about Stagecoach's new network changes at two information events in Dunfermline.

The bus operators are set to bring in a new simplified service network in Dunfermline and West Fife on 18th August to help resolve current issues with punctuality and encourage greater passenger numbers.

Timetable and route changes will affect the majority of routes within Dunfermline, Rosyth, Inverkeithing and the West Fife villages, as well as services operating between the park and rides at Ferrytoll and Halbeath.

Stagecoach staff will be on hand to give out new timetables, guides and answer questions at Asda Halbeath on Saturday 9th August between 10am-1pm, and at Dunfermline High Street on Tuesday 12th August between noon-3pm.

Andrew Jarvis, managing director, Stagecoach East Scotland said, "I appreciate that these changes seem quite significant in Dunfermline, as in most cases service numbers will change and we know that's what people look for when they go out to catch a bus, though the main routes and destinations haven't changed much at all.

“We're in the process of delivering 41,000 summary guides to people in West Fife to detail these changes, but the information events will also give people the chance to pick up the new timetables and find out exactly what affects them.” New timetables are available at Dunfermline bus station and online at www.stagecoachbus.com.
