CARNOCK and Gowkhall Gala entertained families on Saturday with a number of old-time favourite events and some new additions.
Kicking off the day was the parade and, following that, the fun continued with pony rides, quad bike rides, bouncy castles and many more attractions.
Fiona Miller, treasurer of the Carnock and Gowkhall Gala, said, “It was a great day. The rain started just as the parade was beginning but the weather got better throughout the day.
“The quad bikes were a new addition and they were well loved by the kids and so was the miniature train.
“We are looking for more members to be part of the gala committee so that next year we can have another – if we don’t gain more members we unfortunately cannot run it again as it is a lot of planning for just six people.” The Carnock and Gowkhall Gala Committee are holding their AGM on 8th September at 7.15pm in the Carnock Community Centre. Anyone who is interested in helping with next year’s gala is being urged to attend.
