A NURSE faces being struck off after swearing at residents and threatening to “hunt down” a staff member at a Kelty care home.

Jason Mark Hasler is to appear before the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in Edinburgh next week to face a string of charges said to impair his fitness to practise.

The incidents are said to have taken place between September 2009 and March 2013 at Benarty View Care Home, where Hasler worked from December 2006 to May 2013.

Hasler is accused of slamming his hand on a table and saying ‘Shut the f*** up’, or words to that effect, and ‘Why are you ignoring me, you ignorant old b****’ to residents.

He is also charged with inappropriately administering medication to one or more residents on 26th February last year, and failing to administer medication to two others. In addition, he is said to have told a colleague that he would hunt a health care assistant down.

The case will come before the NMC’s conduct and competence committee on 9th September, with the hearing expected to last three days.
