DEVELOPERS Persimmon Homes have lodged fresh plans for new Kelty homes after withdrawing its previous version.

Councillors and residents have voiced concerns about the development in recent months and plans were put on hold in August to schedule a site visit.

Under advice from the planning department at Fife Council, Persimmon withdrew their application earlier this month in order to make changes and have now submitted an amended version for consideration.

The previous application proposed 27 homes and 20 flats at the Great North Road site, which has now been altered to show 42 homes, reducing the number of properties by five and removing the flats.

Jim Kirkpatrick, managing director at Persimmon Homes East Scotland, said, “The change in the number of units at the Great North Road development is the result of amendments to the product mix requested by the housing department at Fife Council. This modification has been agreed with the council’s planning department.”
