MOTORISTS are being urged to plan their journey as key roads around the Forth Road Bridge close overnight in the coming weeks.

The work is part of the Forth Replacement Crossing Project and will affect the A90, M90 spur and B800 on the south side of the bridge.

Sections of the B800 will close from 8pm-6am from 28th-30th October with diversions in place, while traffic lights will be in operation on the B800 from tomorrow (Friday) until 1st November.

The A90 south of Echline junction and west of the B924 Dalmeny junction and M9 spur will close from 8pm-6am from 2nd-4th November, with traffic being diverted via Kincardine and the A8/M9.

The closures are needed to install the new B800 overbridge and driver information gantries for the new crossing.
