GET your little monsters ready for Halloween in Culross this weekend at the National Trust for Scotland’s Saturday spooktacular!
The historic burgh’s cobbled streets and old town houses will be the scene of spooky happenings, and the NTS is inviting wee witches and wizards to materialise for a night of chills and thrills.
The ‘Witches of Culross’ will be serving up potions and scary surprises, and there will be a tour of the town and Culross Palace after dark. In addition, there’ll be story-telling to send shivers down the spine, plus face-painting, lucky dips and herbal remedies in the witches’ grotto.
Elaine Longmuir, NTS property manager in Culross, said, “The rich history of Culross, along with the fact its appearance still resembles how it did in the 17th and 18th centuries, both contribute to it being an ideal, spooky location for Halloween.
“The witches and wizards’ night out is one we look forward to and is great fun for kids.” The event is being held from 5.10-7pm and 5.30-7.20pm. Tickets cost £8 for adults and £7 for kids (£25 family ticket). Please bring a torch. Book online at www.nts.org.uk/Events/Royal-Burgh-of-Culross/Little-Witches-and-Wizards-Night-Out.
