ONE OF North Queensferry’s most popular eateries has won a top award after being named Restuarant of the Year for 2014.
The Wee Restaurant, on Main Street, was named as Scottish Licensed Trade News’ Restuarant of the Year (Casual Dining) and owners Craig and Vikki Wood were treated to a glamorous awards ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel last Thursday.
Hosted by comedian Kevin Bridges, the night celebrated the country’s best pubs, clubs and restaurants and Craig was thrilled to be part of the prestige.
“We’re really chuffed,” he said. “It’s a good endorsement for what we have been doing.
“It’s a great recognition of the restaurant and all our staff who have worked really hard. We’re really pleased for them, they’re very important and a key part of our success.
“We’ve always tried to keep our standards high and stay true to what we believe in, and we’re always looking at how to move the business forward and improve bit by bit.
“We’re lucky that we’ve got a lot of people locally who support us, especially our regulars, and we’re very grateful.”
