ROAD improvements costing a total of £130,000 will be made to the M90 this weekend.
Work on the project, which will take place northbound between junctions two and three, will begin tomorrow (Saturday) at 7.30pm and be completed by 6.30am on Monday.
With both northbound lanes closed while work is being carried out, a contraflow system will be in operation over the weekend to ensure traffic delays are minimised.
The M90 northbound exit slip at Junction 2A will be closed and nortbound traffic heading for the A92 towards Kirkcaldy will be re-routed via the M90 northbound exit slip at Junction 3 at Halbeath.
The right hand lane of the Junction 3 northbound exit slip will be dedicated for A92 traffic only, and the traffic signals at Halbeath roundabout will be adjusted to ensure queues are kept to a minimum. On Sunday afternoon delays of a few minutes may be expected.
