POLICE in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a man died following an accident in Comrie last night (Wednesday).

A Ford Ka struck the 63-year-old pedestrian on the village's Main Street around 9pm.

The Scottish Ambulance Service rushed the man to Larbert Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police are now trying to trace any witnesses who may have seen the collision.

Sergeant Brian Morgan said, "We are looking to trace any witnesses who might have seen the Ford Ka motor car in the Comrie area around 9pm last night or been in the area at the time and have any information that would assist.

“Anyone who has information that can assist with our enquiries is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
