A MAN has appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged in connection with a robbery at a North Queensferry shop.
A cash machine was stolen in the break-in at Wrights Licensed Grocers, Brock Street, in the early hours of Wednesday 11th February and Police Scotland confirmed a 21-year-old had been arrested.
He appeared in the dock on Monday 16th February and has also been charged with a similar offence which took place on 12th February at a Scotmid store in the Roseburn area of Edinburgh.
The heist in North Queensferry was caught on CCTV and took place at around 5.30am with the ATM and the till – believed to contain a three-figure sum – stolen.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said, “A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the theft of an ATM from a shop in North Queensferry on 11th February and from Scotmid in Roseburn Terrace, Edinburgh, on 12th February, and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on 16th February.”
