Bandrum, located just outside of Saline, chose the organisation as their partner charity for 2015 and acts from Cher to Bon Jovi made it an evening to remember.

Guests took part in fund-raising auctions and raffles as well as watching 14 singers take to the stage, capped off by a special set from Elvis himself!

And if that wasn’t enough, the floor was then opened up for the wannabe warblers to take part in karaoke and dancing.

Rachel Duff, operations director at Bandrum, said she was delighted with the money they raised.

“The ticket sales and raffle raised a staggering £1650 and I want to say thanks to everyone who came,” she said. “We chose Scottish Huntington’s Association as we look after a number of amazing people who are affected by Huntington’s and have seen directly the great work SHA can do.

“The night ran really well with everyone enjoying themselves. Councillor Pat Callaghan helped with the introductions and got everyone involved. It couldn’t have gone ahead without Bill Brown doing the music, all the help organising prizes, tickets and of course the brilliant buffet courtesy of Alice Murie from Bandrum.” Some of the prizes that were won on the night included a week in Mull and Premiership football tickets from Barclays Bank as well as a signed football from Dunfermline Athletic.

However the work isn’t over for Rachel and her Bandrum fundraising team - she’s gearing up for the London Marathon next Sunday with fellow runner Fiona Thompson and they have already raised almost another £1400 for the same charity.
