AN afternoon of fun and festivities is in store at the North Queensferry Village Show on Saturday (tomorrow).

This year’s event is devoted to Scottish food and drink, with many of the tasty offerings coming from Fife.

Entries are being invited for the traditional categories of village produce, home crafts, floral art, photography and baking, and there will be sales tables and competitions.

There will also be a special showing of the latest photographs to be added to the North Queensferry Heritage Trust’s archives.

Trophies will be presented around 3pm and will include the Maureen Trotter, Bob Cubin and Jubilee cups.

The afternoon closes with a grand auction and raffle. Donations from show proceeds will go towards local charities.

The event will be held at the community centre in Brock Street from 2-4pm. Admission is £1 for adults, 50p for kids and £2.50 for a family.
