I WAS wondering if the Press could enlighten the public as to which clown at Fife Council sets the school holidays?
In most other areas of Scotland, apart from Fife - which seem to be a little bit backwards - the schools are actually off during Easter week and don’t return until 22nd April. In Fife our kids are expected to be in class on Easter Monday.
This is the time of year when most people get a holiday but I will be denied the chance to take my niece and nephew out this week as they will be in a classroom.
Are the Fife councillors also unaware that the biggest event in Fife - the Kirkcaldy Links Market - is also being held this week?
I would like to know what the reasoning behind this scheduling of the holiday is but I can’t help but think there is also an anti-Christian element behind it.
Hopefully, Fife can get this sorted for future years and actually have the schools off at Easter.
