DUNFERMLINE have completed the signing of former St Mirren defender Marc McAusland, the club have confirmed.
The 27-year-old centre back put pen to paper with Allan Johnston's team earlier today (Thursday) after leaving the Paisley club by mutual consent in April.
McAusland came through the youth ranks at his hometown club and made his senior debut in 2006.
After a year with Queen of the South, he returned to St Mirren in 2010 and in total he went on to make 187 for his boyhood heroes over two spells, which included a memorable League Cup triumph in 2013.
McAusland's capture eases Johnston's defensive worries after long-term injuries to Ryan Williamson and Callum Fordyce, and could make his debut in Saturday's home clash with Airdrieonians.
We will have more on this story in next Thursday's Press Sport.
