PARS shot stopper Sean Murdoch has been rewarded for his fine recent form by being named the Ladbrokes SPFL League One player of the month for October.

The 29-year-old, who has been an ever-present in manager Allan Johnston's side this season, picked up his award this afternoon (Thursday) at East End Park from the league sponsors.

Murdoch kept four clean sheets from four League One matches last month as the Pars wracked up high scoring wins over Albion Rovers, Stranraer and Forfar Athletic, before drawing a blank at Cowdenbeath on Saturday.

The former Hibernian goalkeeper has now recorded seven clean sheets since rejoining Dunfermline for a second spell in the summer.

A full interview with Murdoch is in this week's action packed 10-page Press Sport.
