VICTORIES over arch-rivals Falkirk are as sweet as they come for Pars fans – and now you have the chance to net the winning goal against them.

Supporters who have always wanted to follow in the footsteps of Stevie Crawford, Noel Hunt and Martin Hardie by being victorious against the Bairns can now do so in a charity match in June.

Both clubs have teamed up with organisers 'Rivals2Gether' to host a fans' game at the Falkirk Stadium on Sunday June 4 to raise cash for both The Pars Foundation and that of their Falkirk counterparts.

Two matches – one for men and one for women – will be held and those selected to pull on the black and white shirt will receive their own strip, matchday programmes, a match DVD and action photos, as well as the ultimate prize of playing for the Pars.

Coaches from The Pars Foundation will be running trials throughout March to select their squads for the big day, with the final selections to be made in April.

Training sessions with coaches Gregor Tennant, Garry Wright and Matty Castle – along with some well-known faces around East End Park making guest appearances – will be held to motivate the lucky fans to bring silverware back across the Kincardine Bridge to West Fife.

The Rivals concept, which began in 2006 as a charity match between fans of Hearts and Hibs, has raised more than £100,000 for charity while providing hundreds of players with the chance to live out the dream of playing for their club.

To register in your interest in playing for either match – both of which are for over-18s – visit www.rivals2gether.co.uk.

Money raised from the match will go directly to the clubs' foundations to help them continue their work in the local communities.
