DUNFERMLINE skipper Andy Geggan has committed his future to the club after agreeing a new contract this afternoon.
The influential midfielder has ended speculation over his future by signing on at East End Park in what Press Sport understands is a two-year deal.
Geggan, 28, had been linked with other clubs, most notably Partick Thistle, but he will be at the heart of Athletic's return to the Championship next season.
The former Dumbarton man joined the Pars from Ayr United in 2012 under Jim Jefferies, and was one of the surviving first team stars when the club entered administration in March 2013.
He was given the captain's armband by Jefferies and has taken on the role this season under Allan Johnston after Callum Fordyce's season was ended by injury in September.
There will be an interview with Geggan in this Thursday's Press Sport.
