DUNFERMLINE defender Callum Fordyce has signed a new contract at East End Park, the club have confirmed.

The 23-year-old, who signed from Livingston last summer, will remain with the Pars when they make their return to the Championship next season.

Fordyce, who was named captain by manager Allan Johnston in the summer, has been out of action since September when suffered a horror fractured ankle in a 2-0 defeat to Ayr United.

He confirmed earlier this week that he has started running as he steps up his bid to be fit for the start of pre-season.

Fordyce joins Sean Murdoch, Cammy Gill, Ryan Williamson, Lewis Martin, Michael Paton, Ben Richards-Everton, Joe Cardle, Jason Talbot, Andy Geggan and Johnston in signing fresh deals with the club.
