PITREAVIE hurdles star Eilidh Doyle set a new lifetime best and Scottish record as she stormed to victory at Friday's Diamond League meeting in Monaco.
The 29-year-old, who won 4x400m relay gold at the European Athletics Championships last Sunday, won her second Diamond League meeting of the season by breaking her PB from 2013.
Doyle's previous best was set in Birmingham with a time of 54.22, which was also a Scottish record, but she bettered that in style at the Stade Louis II by clocking 54.09.

She was part of a high quality field that included new European champion Sara Petersen, who took the title from Doyle after the Pitreavie AAC star chose not to run, and finished 0.54 seconds ahead of second placed Cassandra Tate.
Doyle is in the Team GB squad for next month's Olympic Games in Rio, where she will run in the 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay.
