THE PARS will face non-league opposition in the Scottish Cup third round after drawing Buckie Thistle or Gretna 2008 this evening.

Allan Johnston's team were one of six Championship clubs to enter the draw, which was made at Greenock Morton, and they will travel to either the Highlands or the famous romantic town on November 26.

Highland League Buckie and Lowland League outfit Gretna drew 1-1 on Saturday and will replay at Raydale Park this weekend for the right to host Athletic.

Gretna 2008 were formed after Gretna FC, who reached the 2006 Scottish Cup final, went bust.

Dunfermline played Gretna FC in a competitive fixture once when they travelled to Raydale for a League Cup tie in 2005.

Mark Burchill grabbed the only goal in a 1-0 Pars victory as they went on to reach the final.
