EUROPEAN football is coming to East End Park after Scotland was chosen to host an international tournament in 2019.
In September, we reported that the Scottish Football Association (SFA) had submitted bids to host one of the UEFA Women's European Championships in 2019.
Bids were put to European football's governing body to host either the under-17 or under-19 tournament, and the SFA have been named as hosts of the under-19 competition.

The matches will be played in July 2019, with match dates to be announced next December, and four venues, including East End Park, will host games.
The other stadia chosen are St Johnstone's McDiarmid Park, St Mirren's Paisley 2021 Stadium and Livingston's Tony Macaroni Arena, and speaking after the SFA's bid was submitted, Pars chairman Ross McArthur said: “We are happy to facilitate and we have since spoken with Fife Council, who are happy to support us if the bid is successful.
“It would be prestigious for the area and we thought it was the right thing to do as a community club.”
The Scots have qualified for the under-19 championship in 2008, 2010 and 2014, and the tournament will be the first UEFA competition Scotland has held since the 1998 European under-16 Championship.
