DUNFERMLINE have confirmed that John Herron and Paul McMullan will remain at the club until the end of the season.
The on-loan duo will remain Pars players after agreements were reached with Athletic and their parent clubs.
Midfielder Herron's temporary spell was due to end at the end of the month but he expressed his desire to stay at East End instead of returning to Blackpool, and he has now put pen to paper on extending his loan agreement.
McMullan signed a season-long loan from Celtic in the summer as part of the deal that took PJ Crossan to Parkhead, and the terms of that saw the Hoops have a recall option in January.
The player and both clubs however have agreed that he will remain with Dunfermline until the end of the season.
We will have more reaction to this, including interviews with Herron, Allan Johnston and returning defender Callum Morris, in Thursday's Press Sport.
