DUNFERMLINE Athletic have announced the appointment of Pars Supporters Trust vice-chair Drew Main to the club's board of directors.
Mr Main has been appointed as the PST's representative in the boardroom and replaces the late Margaret Ross, who tragically passed away last month.
He said: "Having served on the PST Board for almost eight years, the last four as vice-chair, it is a huge honour for me to have been nominated by my board colleagues to represent the Pars Supporters` Trust on the board of DAFC. Of course, this is not a position any of us expected to find ourselves in at this time for obvious reasons and, as such, is tinged with a degree of sadness.
"The responsibility the role brings is not lost on me however, and I can assure all Pars fans, not just PST members, that I will do my utmost to continue the great work of my predecessor, Margaret."
Pars chairman Ross McArthur added: "I would like to echo Drew`s sentiments entirely regarding Margaret, but at the same time welcome Drew to our Board and look forward to working more closely with him in future.
"Drew, having served on the holding company board (PUCIC), already has a good insight into the workings of our club, and worked closely with the Board as our club came out of administration so has a significant understanding of how things operate in and around East End Park.
"I would like to wish Drew well in his new role, which is a fantastic honour for any Pars fan to hold."
