A FOOTBALL team is hoping to reach new heights after being kitted out by a new sponsor.

Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts Whites 2006s, who will move up to 11-a-side football next year, have been given new strips from Cowdenbeath firm, The Bouncy Castle Man.

The squad have been together for less than two years and coaches Craig Drysdale and Ross McLaren say that the youngsters’ enjoyment of playing provides the biggest satisfaction.

Craig said: “We have kids who come from places like Kelty and Kinross to play, which is great because they’re making new friends before going up to high school.

“We train on Mondays and Wednesdays and play games on a Sunday. We’re in the third tier of the Pitreavie League and are moving to 11-a-side next year.”

The boys recently won ‘best sporting team’ at a tournament in Yorkshire and Craig added: “The main thing is that they enjoy themselves but they can see players who have played for the Swifts that have gone on to play senior football, which shows them that if they stick in they could make it at the top level.”

“My daughter works with Mark (Bouncy Castle Man owner), we got talking one night and my wife convinced him to be a sponsor! We’d like to say a huge thanks to him.”
