THE PARS’ burst of four straight victories has taken them to the brink of play-off certainty but with Queen of the South dropping away and Morton faltering, a new challenger has emerged; Saturday’s opponents Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Caley will know that winning their last four matches enables them to leapfrog the Pars and in all probability nail the all-important fourth place. The bookmakers favour them to keep the pressure on Allan Johnston's men; Inverness are 11/8 (Betvictor), the Pars 21/10 (Betway/Betvictor) and a draw 9/4.

A point from this game would be like gold dust to the Pars but they are in good enough form to get it.

Prediction: Inverness CT 0 Dunfermline 0.

Ayr are 5/4 to secure an all-important victory, Alloa are 21/10 (both prices Betvictor) and a draw 5/2.
