FOOTBALL mad kids across West Fife can harness their skills and have fun by taking part in one of several Easter camps run by the Pars Foundation.

The organisation, the charity arm of Dunfermline Athletic FC which runs their community programmes, have organised a series of events during the school holidays.

From Monday (April 1) to Friday April 5, they are running a P1-7 camp at Pitreavie Sport and Soccer Centre, running from 9am-3pm each day, whilst there is a half day camp, from 9am-12pm, for those age groups between Monday April 8 and Friday April 12.

During the week of April 8-12, a 'mini kickers' camp, for ages 3-5, between 9-9.45am, and a girls only event, from 9am-12pm, for P1-7s, will also take place at Pitreavie.

Youngsters in P1-7 can also attend a camp at Crossford Scout Hall, from 9am-12pm, between April 8-12, whilst that week will also see the Pars Foundation offer football for 10-13 year-olds for a free camp, in association with Scottish Gas, between 12.30-2.30pm in Oakley.

The events come after the Pars Foundation held a hugely successful free camp last month led by Dunfermline-born Scotland and Real Madrid superstar, Caroline Weir, which was attended by more than 150 kids.

For more information on the camps, or the Pars Foundation, find them on Facebook, or visit https://parsfoundation.co.uk/.

Meanwhile, Dunfermline Athletic Ladies suffered a 5-0 SWFL (Scottish Women's Football League) East defeat at Edinburgh South.

Charles Dignan's team, who were knocked out of the SWFL Plate at the quarter-final stage by Linlithgow Rose in their last outing, are due to return to action at home to McDermid Ladies on April 7.
