CARNEGIE Harrier Karen Kennedy enjoyed a strong run at Sunday's Linlithgow 10K road race, winning the ladies' race in a time of 40 minutes and 16 seconds.

At the same race, Charlotte Briggs set a PB of 46:28.

Midweek, at the Self Transcendence two-mile road race in the Meadows, Edinburgh, Scott Love finished 20th in 11:36, while Mike Bisset set a PB in 35th place of 12:48.

At the Dunfermline parkrun on Saturday, Martin Butcher won in a course PB of 18:07 over Iain Taylor in second in 18:17, with Alan Cockburn 11th in 19:59, Ian Johnston 12th in 20:17 and first-timer Gail Murdoch 17th and second lady in 21:36. Robert Milton ran 22:29, Mark Mackenzie 23:21, Kieran Morgan 24:38, Morna Fleming 24:46 and Bill Fairley 28:44.

At the Cramond event, Mike Bisset ran a course PB of 20:45 in 60th place, while at the Strathclyde event, David Saunders ran 25:56. Mary Western took part in the Falkirk parkrun for the first time, finishing 13th and second lady in 20:27. At Kirkcaldy, David Greig finished 10th in 20:59, with Rory Greig 12th in 21:09, and Paul Arnott set a course PB in 36th place of 24:23.

The big race of the weekend was the Scottish Half Marathon in Edinburgh, where Kristin Lownie was the first of the four Harriers running, in 69th place in 1:28.06, with Jonathan Millar back on form to set a PB of 1:34.15. Sam Newington ran 1:41.42, and Zuleika Brett 1:56.32.

At the Pitlochry 10K road race, it was PBs galore, as following Scott Bradley, in sixth place in 35:37, Alan McGowan was 41st in 41:22, Michael Bisset 54th in 42:42 and Dave Morton 57th in 42:46. All achieved PBs.

At the Linthgow 10K, David Saunders ran the Cumbernauld 10K road race in 51:43.
