PITREAVIE AAC were among the medals at the recent Scottish Athletics National Relay Championships.

The event, which took place at Grangemouth on April 22, combined with the Scottish University and Colleges Track and Field Championships.

In the 4x100 metres, the senior men – with a quartet of under-20s – went into the event with Craig Dunlop making his debut and won the heats to make their way into the final.

Dunlop and team-mates Craig Moriarty, Taylor Roy and Cameron Sinclair showed their class by going on to take a fine gold medal that was followed in style by the senior men in the 4x400m.

Ben Grant, Craig Moriarty, Taylor Roy and Jack Lawrie crossed the line first in the heats in a time of 3:22.11 and powered home first, meaning a gold medal double for both Roy and Moriarty.

The senior women’s team of Sarah Ross, Kerryn De-Pear, Natalie Carson and Nicole De-Pear won a silver medal in the 4x400mwith a time of 4:20.49.

In the under-17 4x100m events, both the male and female teams book bronze, with Sophie Sirwardena, Emilja Morrison, Jade Hutchison and Sarah Duff picking up the medals for the women, and Alistair Moriarty, Billy Doyle, Harry Johnston and Lee Turner for the men.

The club saw their under-17 men finish fourth in the 4x400m and the under-17 women cross the line in sixth in the 4x300m.
