Carnegie Harriers crowned Scottish road relay champions

CARNEGIE Harriers were crowned Scottish Veteran Road Relay champions after winning Sunday"s event held at Strathclyde Park, Motherwell.
Competing against strong opposition from the West of Scotland, Lewis Lawson undertook the opening leg, placing fourth in 21:12.
He handed across to Allan Fotheringham, who ran 20:44. Ian Stewart put in an excellent run, 20:38 on leg three, while Tommy Lawrence, on the anchor leg, had a superb race (20:23), to ensure the Harriers won the championship in a time of 1:22.57.
